Arizona Cardinals Season in Review: The cornerbacks

Now that the Arizona Cardinals’ 2014 season is over, it’s time to reflect. Over the next ten days or so, we’ll look back at the Cardinals’ 11-win campaign, position by position.
The secondary was supposed to be the strength of the Arizona Cardinals’ defense in 2014.
Sure, there was talent in the front seven, but Patrick Peterson and Antonio Cromartie were meant to be one of the best cornerback tandems in the NFL, while Jerraud Powers would be an excellent third corner and Justin Bethel would continue to grow as a defender.
Arizona’s secondary was indeed a strength, though the cornerbacks weren’t necessarily the reason.
