Arizona sophomore Chance Comanche will test the NBA Draft waters but will not hire an agent, leaving the door open for him to return to the Wildcats next year, reports Scout’s Evan Daniels.

If he refrains from hiring an agent through the process, Comanche can attend the NBA Draft Combine on May 9-14 and would have until 10 days after the end of the event to decide upon whether to remain in the draft or return to Arizona.

The 6-foot-11, 215-pound forward averaged 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game in 2016-17 while shooting 57 percent from the floor.

Comanche is not ranked on DraftExpress’ top-100 prospects list, nor in the 2017 or 2018 mock drafts.

The Wildcats have lost probable top-10 pick Lauri Markkanen and guard Kobi Simmons to the draft. Both will hire agents.

Head coach Sean Miller is still awaiting word on the draft decisions of sophomore guard Allonzo Trier and freshman forward Rawle Alkins.

Next season, Comanche would be fighting for playing time with center Dusan Ristic, forward Keanu Pinder and incoming big men DeAndre Ayton and Ira Lee.
