Giants ace Madison Bumgarner will reportedly miss 6-8 weeks after injuring his shoulder.
If he hadn’t done it riding a dirt bike, maybe baseball fans would have gone easier on him. Ah, heck, probably not.
Bumgarner’s gaffe, which led to bruised ribs and a sprained joint in his pitching shoulder, comes more than a decade after then-Giants second baseman Jeff Kent injured himself reportedly doing wheelies on his motorcycle in Scottsdale. He claimed to have been washing a truck when he broke his wrist.
The fact dirt biking isn’t exactly the safest thing to do when one’s livelihood requires a healthy body made Giants fans and Bumgarner fantasy owners displeased.
Otherwise, there were jokes to be had at the expense of the San Francisco ace, who this season is 0-3 with a 3.00 ERA for the struggling Giants.
Oh so you can't batflip around Madison Bumgarner but he can do a backflip on a motorcycle huh smh

Somewhat underrated part of the Madison Bumgarner injury story: He had an off day in Colorado on 4/20 and chose to go dirt biking.

Give Madison Bumgarner some credit. At least he didn't try to say he was washing his truck. #JeffKent #Giants #MLB

I lost the office pool on Bumgarner, because I foolishly took "Manhandled a bear in a pit of olive oil." Another C-note down the sewer.
