Bobby Hurley and the Arizona State Sun Devils got some good news on Wednesday, as it was learned Kansas transfer Carlton Bragg Jr. had committed to the school.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Bragg will have to sit out the 2017-18 season.

One of the top recruits in the class of 2015, last season as a sophomore Bragg averaged 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per game. He did not play in the team’s Elite 8 loss to Oregon.

The 6-foot-10, 240-pound Bragg played in 31 of Kansas’ 36 games last season, missing five due to suspension. According to CBSSports, the first time he was disciplined was because he was erroneously charged with a misdemeanor of battery, wherein evidence later proved that it was Bragg, himself, who was victimized.

The second suspension came after police found drug paraphernalia in his dorm room while investigating something that was not related to the player.
