Jake Lamb had himself quite a week for the Arizona Diamondbacks in games against the New York Mets and San Diego Padres, hitting .412 with four home runs and 10 RBI in five games.
For his efforts, on Monday, he was named the National League Player of the Week.
Lamb is the first D-back to earn the honor this season, and the first since Brandon Drury did the same in September 2016.
The 26-year-old Lamb is off to a good start this season, with a batting average of .288 to go along with 11 home runs and 36 RBI, both of which lead the team.
Following a trio of games in San Diego the D-backs return home for a three-game set against the Chicago White Sox. After that they will hit the road once again, with stops in Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Miami.
