Trivia Tuesday: Not quite Stanley Cup champions
May 23, 2017, 6:00 AM
They say the Stanley Cup is the ultimate sports trophy.
The reverence for the trophy runs so deep that those who haven’t played on a Cup-clinching team won’t even touch it. Imagine the thrill of hoisting it in triumph.
Then, if you will, imagine the pain of being so close to winning it, only to watch another team skate around the rink (and celebrate with it for months to follow) after losing the Stanley Cup Final.
That’s the subject of this week’s Trivia Tuesday. Your task: name the teams that lost in the Stanley Cup Final each year since the 1990-91 season. You can either type in the team name or city from which they hail.
You’ve got seven minutes…good luck!
