The Arizona Diamondbacks have the third-best record in MLB, but after the fourth All-Star Game balloting update, just three D-backs sit in the top five for their respective positions.

The closest D-back to starting is first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.

The four time All-Star is third in balloting at first base (828,361 votes), trailing Anthony Rizzo by 418,858 votes for second and Ryan Zimmerman by 575,890 votes for first.

Goldschmidt is first among NL first basemen in RBI (57), runs (60) and walks (47), while he is second in average (.324) and hits (81).

Third baseman Jake Lamb just missed out on the midsummer classic last season and will need some help to get to Miami this year.

Lamb (564,447 votes) ranks fifth in balloting behind Anthony Rendon, Justin Turner, Nolan Arenado and the leader Kris Bryant (1,603,326 votes).

The major league leader in RBI (59), Lamb also leads NL third basemen in home runs (16) and is third in hits (70) and sixth in average (.281).

Shortstop Chris Owings also places fifth in balloting. With 541,960 votes, he trails Trea Turner, Addison Russell, Corey Seager and the front runner Zack Cozart by 923,367 votes.

Owings leads NL shortstops in RBI (39) and hits (71), and while holding the second highest batting average (.292).

There will be just one more balloting update before the rosters are announced for the July 11 game in Miami.
