Coyotes announce theme nights, ‘Buck Bash’ returns

The Arizona Coyotes announced Monday their theme nights for the 2017-18 season, as well as the fact that their “Buck Bash” promotion will return to Gila River Arena.

On select nights — Oct. 14 against the Bruins, Nov. 25 against the Golden Knights and Dec. 22 against Washington — the Coyotes will offer $1 hot dogs, sodas and beer.

Other promotions, such as student rush, military rush, postgame slapshot and family value packs, are coming back, as well.

As for the theme nights, the Coyotes will host the following:

Saturday, Oct. 7 vs Vegas Golden Knights: Opening Night — All fans receive a schedule magnet.

Saturday, Oct. 14 vs Boston Bruins: Social Media Night — The first 7,500 fans receive an Alpine hat and the first 10,000 fans receive emojis.

Saturday, Nov. 4 vs Carolina Hurricanes: Hockey Fights Cancer Night — The Coyotes will wear lavender jerseys during warm-up in recognition of the NHL’s fight against cancer.

Saturday, Nov. 11 vs Golden Knights: Star Wars Night — The first 10,000 fans will get a Star Wars-themed bobblehead.

Friday, Jan. 12 vs Edmonton Oilers — First 10,000 fans receive an Oliver Ekman-Larsson bobblehead

Thursday, Feb. 1 vs Dallas Stars: Hockey is for Everyone — The team will “celebrate that hockey truly is for everyone,” according to a release from the team.

Saturday, Feb. 10 vs Philadelphia Flyers: First 10,000 fans receive a Max Domi bobblehead that features Domi and his dog Orion as part of an effort raise awareness for diabetes research.

Saturday, Feb. 17 vs Oilers: Howler’s Birthday & Kid’s Day — The Coyotes will celebrate their mascot Howler’s birthday. The first 7,500 fans receive a Howler bobblehead.

Saturday, Feb. 24 vs Anaheim Ducks: D-backs Night — D-backs players, the mascot Baxter and the Rally Backs will be on hand as the first 7,500 fans receive a Coyotes/D-backs-themed bobblehead.

Saturday, March 17 vs Minnesota Wild: Go Green/St. Patrick’s Day — The Coyotes will promote the conversation of sustainability as they promote Earth Day. St. Patrick’s Day jerseys will be worn during warmup.

Saturday, April 7 vs Ducks: Fan Appreciation Night — Coyotes will “show their appreciation for the best fans in the NHL,” the team said.
