The Arizona Cardinals have terminated Vontarrius Dora’s contract, according to 98.7 FM, Arizona’s Sports Station’s own Mike Jurecki.
At Louisiana Tech, Dora started four years for the Bulldogs, making 147 tackles and 13.5 sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recovered two.
The linebacker was signed by the Denver Broncos in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. He spent 13 weeks on the team’s practice squad but did manage to play a game for the Broncos last season. He was released by the team on Sept. 2.
He then found his way to the desert, where he was signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad on Oct. 4 after the New York Jets signed former practice squad linebacker Obum Gwacham.
With the recent cut, the team now has an open roster spot on the practice squad.
