Tucson Roadrunners center Dylan Strome was named the AHL Player of the Week on Monday after recording seven points over the last three games.
The Arizona Coyotes’ AHL affiliate went 3-0 this week as Strome tallied a goal and six assists. He finished with a +8 plus-minus in those outings.
Strome, whom Arizona selected third overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, made the Coyotes’ opening roster but was sent to Tucson after two games. He scored his first professional goal to go with two assists Wednesday night in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Last year, Strome led the junior hockey Erie Otters to the 2017 Memorial Cup, where he earned MVP honors.
Through six games this season in the AHL, Strome has 10 points. With eight assists, he is one off the league lead.
