Arizona Sports Fantasy Football Host League: Week 9 recap
Week 9 of the Fantasy Football season for the 98.7 FM Arizona Sports Host League saw one team score the highest point total we have seen so far this season. Find out who won and more in this week’s recap.
Bertrand Berry (Daddy Phat $acks): 95
Ron Wolfley (Team Wolfley): 160
Wolf had his best week of the Fantasy Football season, if not the best performance the Host League has seen in the first nine weeks. He had two players score 30 or more points as his wide receivers accounted for 51 of his final 160. On the other hand, Bertrand had six of his nine players score at least 10 points, with his top scorer being Travis Kelce at 20.
Dan Bickley (Blinded by the TD’s): 84
Doug Franz (I Hate Fantasy): 113
Bickley and Doug were tied going into Monday Night Football, but thanks to Theo Riddick and Golden Tate, Doug walked away with the victory. Doug’s leading scorer was Jacoby Brissett with 19 points, while Tate closely followed with 18. In addition, all but one of Doug’s players scored in double digits. On the other hand, Bickley’s running backs went off this week as they tallied a combined 57 points. Unfortunately, two of his players had negative points which cost him the matchup.
Mike Jurecki (Team Jurecki): 90
John Gambadoro (Sister Markus Golden Hair): 115
It took a couple weeks, but Gambo finally has his second win of the Fantasy Football season. His leading scorer came on Monday night as Marvin Jones Jr. racked up 29 points leading Gambo to the victory. Jurecki’s running backs struggled this week with only a combined total of 14 points, as his leading scorer was Drew Brees with 18 points.
Paul Calvisi (Paulie Pigskins): 88
Dave Burns (Bold Strategy Cotton): 116
Despite one of his running backs having -2 points, Burnsy got the win this week. His top scorer was Jared Goff with 28 points, as the Rams quarterback completed 14-of-22 pass attempts for 311 yards and four touchdowns vs. the Giants. Paul had a poor showing from his wide receivers this week, as they tallied a combined total of 13 points.
Listener Winner (Dancing with Stanton): 99
Vince Marotta (That Booty!): 94
The Listener Winner continues his dominance in Week 9. He had three players score over 20 points this week, with his top scorer being Tyrod Taylor with 26. Vince’s running backs didn’t have one of their better weeks, as the three he started tallied a combined 13 points. His wide receivers did perform well, racking up 41 points.
