The Arizona Cardinals announced a one-year contract extension for wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald through 2018.

The deal is worth $11 million, according to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Mike Jurecki. It also includes a no-trade clause.

Fitzgerald could earn up to $1 million in incentives if he gets to No. 2 on the NFL’s all-time receiving yards list. Last week against Seattle he became just the sixth player in NFL history to reach 15,000 career receiving yards. Terrell Owens is currently No. 2 on the list with 15,934 yards.

This season Fitzgerald has 60 receptions for 677 yards and three touchdowns.

Last offseason, it wasn’t reported until Feb. 1 that Fitzgerald was returning for the 2017 season.

The 34-year-old is well on his way to induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 10-time Pro Bowler has led the NFL in receptions twice, once in 2005 when he was 22 in his second NFL season and again in 2016 with 107 receptions. This season, Fitzgerald ranks third in the league with 60 catches through nine games. He trails only Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown (70 in 10 games) and Miami’s Jarvis Landry (60) in that category.

Despite making the playoffs just four times with Arizona, Fitzgerald is in a four-way tie for third place — joining Hines Ward, Randy Moss, Antonio Freeman and Fred Biletnikoff — with 10 career postseason touchdown catches in nine games.
