Arizona State fired coach Todd Graham the day after the sixth-year head coach won the Territorial Cup to lead the Sun Devils to a 7-5 regular season.
The Sun Devils made his replacement official on Sunday night by announcing former NFL coach Herm Edwards as the new head football coach.
Within the Pac-12, there were three other job openings. Oregon State’s vacancy has been filled by former Beaver player and Washington offensive coordinator Jonathan Smith, and UCLA introduced former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly as its next leader to replace Jim Mora Jr.
Oregon coach Willie Taggart, after just a season leading the Ducks, confirmed to ESPN he is leaving for the Florida State job.
With the open coaching position, the Ducks promoted co-offensive coordinator Mario Cristobal to head coach.
Meanwhile, Nebraska and several SEC schools had openings.
