Arizona Cardinals sign Corey Peters to three-year extension

The Arizona Cardinals announced the three-year extension of defensive lineman Corey Peters Friday.
The extension will keep him under contract until the 2020 season.
According to 98.7 FM Arizona Sports Station’s Mike Jurecki, it’s a three-year deal, averaging $4 million per year.

The 29-year-old has been with the Cardinals for three seasons after coming over from the Atlanta Falcons in free agency in 2015. The Kentucky product was selected in the third-round — pick No. 83 — of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Falcons.
Peters has started in all nine games he’s played for the Cardinals this season, recording 25 tackles, one sack and one pass defensed.
As a member of the team, Peters has played in 24 total games, starting in 23 of them.
In his career, Peters has played in 94 games — starting in 78 — and has 227 tackles, 12 sacks, an interception, one forced fumble, a fumble recovery and seven passes defensed.
