Arizona Rattlers defensive back Marquis Floyd has been named the Riddell Defensive Player of the Week, the AFL announced Tuesday.
In Sunday’s 75-25 win over the LA Kiss, Floyd accounted for 4.5 tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions (one of which he returned for a touchdown) and a pass breakup.
The two interceptions tied Floyd, who leads the Rattlers with six picks this season, with AFL Hall of Famer Barry Wagner for fifth-place on the all-time interceptions list with 48.
The Rattlers, currently undefeated with a 10-0 record, will next take on the San Jose SaberCats at 6:30 p.m. at US Airways Center Saturday, May 31.
