Boise State twirls for first score in Las Vegas Bowl, Twitter reacts

The Boise State Broncos wowed viewers on Saturday during the Las Vegas Bowl against Oregon.

Early in the matchup, the Broncos lined up in a formation that featured four receivers bunched up. As if that didn’t confuse the Oregon secondary enough, each receiver twirled at the same time in perfect synchronization to further confuse the defense on the way to Boise State’s first score of the game.

Boise State is no stranger to strange — yet effective — play calls.

In the 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma, the Broncos used a hook-and-lateral to tie the game and send it to overtime.

Then, after again tying the score in overtime, the Broncos used a Statue of Liberty play to stun the college football world and defeat the Sooners.

Like in that game, Boise State went on to defeat Oregon 38-28, but this time overtime wasn’t needed. The twirling receivers sent the minds of Twitter users spinning.
