The Arizona Wildcats have named Garin Justice as their new offensive line coach, the team announced Tuesday night.

“I am very excited to bring Garin on staff to be a part of our football program,” Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez said. “He is a former player and coach of mine who has done a great job everywhere he has been. Garin will be an excellent fit for our program and I know our players will enjoy playing for him. We look forward to having him join us here soon at the bowl site.”

At West Virginia, Justice was a team captain and second-team All-American for Rodriguez as a player.

As a coach, he served as an offensive graduate assistant from 2006-07. Following his stint with Rodriguez, Justice headed to Florida State where he was a graduate assistant on Bobby Bowden’s staff from 2007-08.

He got his first crack at coaching full-time at Concord University where, from 2009-10, he was the program’s associate head coach, offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator. He took over head coaching duties in 2011 and put together a 40-17 record in five seasons.

In 2016, he headed to Florida Atlantic where he was the offensive line coach. When head coach Lane Kiffin was hired last December, Justice was the only assistant brought back from the old regime.

This season, the FAU Owls possessed one of the nation’s top offensive teams led by Justice’s stout offensive line. Entering Tuesday night’s Boca Raton Bowl game — which the Owls won 50-3 — they ranked in the top 10 in scoring offense (39.8), rushing offense (283.2) and were 13th for fewest sacks allowed with 15.
