Our story begins with a big Jacksonville Jaguars win.

Jacksonville quarterback Blake Bortles threw for 326 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 45-7 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday, and after the game, Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was asked about Bortles’ improvement.

“He’s trash,” responded Clowney.

OK, then.

As you might’ve guessed, that wasn’t received well by the Jaguars. Their fans didn’t like it either, but they turned it into an opportunity to give back — kind of.

Fans from Florida have been ordering trash cans online before them to Clowney at the Texans’ NRG Stadium.

Apparently, all of this is in the Christmas spirit.

The idea was sparked by public relations pro Bonnie Upright, who just happened to have worked for the Blake Bortles Foundation in the past, according to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco.

Upright signed her gift with the message: “Love, a trash-loving Jaguars fan.”

“It’s very Duval [County],” she told ESPN. “It’s how we roll in the 904.”
