Cardinals safety Antoine Bethea will miss the season finale against the Seahawks with a torn pectoral muscle, the team announced on Tuesday.
“Whether he requires surgery or not, it’s pretty much up to him at this point in time,” said head coach Bruce Arians.
Bethea, who is turning 34 this offseason, has two years left on his contract before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
The 12th-year safety recorded two interceptions and two pass deflections against the Giants on Sunday, and has five total interceptions on the season.
Bethea leads the team in interceptions by three and also ranks sixth on the team in tackles this season.
Newly signed linebacker Edmond Robinson will be elevated from the practice squad to take Bethea’s spot on the active roster.
