LISTEN: Doug & Wolf NFL Power Poll - Week 17

It’s the second-to-last edition of the Doug & Wolf NFL power poll, but it’s lacking some of Doug & Wolf.

Filling in on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station for the Week 17 power rankings are Max Starks and Luke Lapinski, and it’s Lapinski who found trouble in whittling his list down to just five teams. With that, he gave the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Rams a tie for fifth place.

Starks went only with the Rams before he and Lapinski disagree with their third- and fourth-ranked teams. Max has the Minnesota Vikings fourth and behind the Philadelphia Eagles, while Luke ranks Minnesota ahead of Philly.

“Case Keenum has kind of become a manager over the past two weeks and you haven’t seen the explosive plays like you did earlier in the year,” Starks said. “Teams are starting to figure them out.”

“It’s not so much because of Keenum,” Lapinski said. “That defense has been really good. You need to have a defense like that.”

Both have the Patriots and Steelers ranked first and second, respectively.

Max Starks

5 – Los Angeles Rams
4 – Minnesota Vikings
3 – Philadelphia Eagles
2 – Pittsburgh Steelers
1 – New England Patriots

Luke Lapinski

5 – New Orleans Saints / Los Angeles Rams
4 – Philadelphia Eagles
3 – Minnesota Vikings
2 – Pittsburgh Steelers
1 – New England Patriots
