Kansas transfer Carlton Bragg has decided to leave the Arizona State basketball program, according to 247 Sports’ Evan Daniels and ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
Bragg transferred to ASU in May and by rule was to sit out the year, but he left the team for personal reasons as the 2017-18 season began. The 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward was a 5-star prospect coming out of high school but struggled in two years with Kansas.
Bragg averaged 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14 minutes per game as a sophomore in 2016-17. He also dealt with off-the-court suspensions in his time as a Jayhawk.
The big man was expected to debut next year among a class of other redshirting transfers, including forward Zylan Cheatham (San Diego State) and guard Rob Edwards (Cleveland State).
