The Arizona Diamondbacks agreed to a one-year deal with right-handed relief pitcher Brad Boxberger, avoiding arbitration.

The deal is valued at $1.85 million, according to Robert Murray of FanRag Sports

Arizona acquired Boxberger in a trade from the Tampa Bay Rays on Nov. 30 in exchange for minor league pitcher Curtis Taylor.

Boxberger’s best season came in 2015 when he was an American League All-Star and recorded 41 saves, but injuries have limited him over the past two years. The 29-year-old made just 30 appearances in 2017 due to a right flexor strain, posting a record of 4-4 with a 3.38 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 29.1 innings.

With Boxberger locked up for 2018, the D-backs have 10 arbitration-eligible players remaining.
