Former D-Back Kelly Johnson struggles with the lights

Kelly Johnson was a solid player in just more than one season with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Signed as a free agent prior to the 2010 season, Johnson batted .284 with 26 home runs his first year with the team before slumping to .209 with 18 home runs in 2011. He was traded to the Blue Jays in exchange for Aaron Hill and John McDonald, and has been largely forgotten about in Arizona since.
Until now.
Thanks to the wonder that is ESPN’s “Not Top-10” list, we were alerted to an unfortunate (if you don’t like laughter) miscue of Johnson’s recently. The second baseman drifted into shallow centerfield while tracking a pop up from Yankees catcher Russell Martin.
Unfortunately, it appears the lighting at the Rogers Centre got in the way. Or, rather, in the Johnson’s eyes.
The good news is Johnson got to the ball. The bad news is he tried to catch it with something other than his glove.
And in case you care, the Blue Jays lost the game 10-4.
