Yankees own Dodgers in Twitter feud

Jun 18, 2013, 5:24 PM | Updated: 5:34 pm

Apparently getting set battle on the baseball diamond isn’t enough for the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers, who will be squaring off in the Big Apple for the first time since the 1981 World Series.

So, the teams have taken to Twitter to duke it out, and it appears the Bronx Bombers have the upper hand. Then again, they started it.

A little rude, but it’s a photo of Reggie Jackson, who homered three times as the Yankees knocked off the Dodgers in game six of the 1977 World Series.

This is the Dodgers’ response, which is a photo of a celebration after the Dodgers beat the Yankees in the 1981 World Series. Not bad, when you think about it.

Until…

Game. Set. Match. Yankees.
