You’re about to see one of the most vicious hockey hits imaginable.
In a Wisconsin high school semifinal hockey game, a West Salem player got absolutely leveled by a Lincoln High School defender, as seen in a video uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday.
The massive check understandably caused the West Salem skater to lose the puck, and his teammates immediately tried to retaliate with a couple hits of their own before a fight nearly broke out and the refs paused the action.
No penalty was called on the clothesline hit. The play-by-play announcer’s call is almost as intense as the collision itself.
“Folks, that’s how you play the game,” he concludes in the video.
