Diamondbacks fan misplays foul ball, spills beer on lady friend

Apr 29, 2014, 5:21 PM | Updated: 5:22 pm

Entering play Tuesday, the Arizona Diamondbacks lead all of baseball with 27 errors.

But the players on the field aren’t the only ones struggling to make plays when the ball comes their way.

In Monday night’s game against the Colorado Rockies, a foul ball off Miguel Montero’s bat was badly misplayed by a fan, who spilled his beer all over the lady sitting next to him.

D-backs broadcasters Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly then decided to break down the situation.

“The beer died a hero,” Berthiaume said. “But she is not happy. Not happy. There won’t be a second date.”
