FC Tucson player records amazing bicycle-kick goal

Jun 1, 2014, 6:19 PM | Updated: 6:19 pm

A soccer club in Tucson, Ariz., is getting some national notice after a player’s dazzling goal in a win earlier in the week.

MLSSoccer.com says, “Most North American soccer fans know FC Tucson merely as the host club for the Desert Diamond Cup tournament that takes place every February as part of MLS preseason.”

However, a video of Odaine Sinclair’s bicycle-kick goal against the BYU Cougars has been seen more than 120,000 times on YouTube, and the story was trending on Facebook over the weekend.

MLSSoccer also said the improbable goal was even picked as the No. 1 highlight on an episode of ESPN SportsCenter.

In the clip, an FC Tucson player headbutts the ball backwards before Sinclair jumps high and swings his leg over his head, propelling the ball past the outstretched BYU goalkeeper.

FC Tucson won the game 2-0.
