One of the great things about sports is that you are likely to see something you’ve never seen before on any given night.
Thursday night proved to be one of those nights.
We’ve seen players lose their pregame meal on the sideline — maybe even in the huddle (in the movies) — but never while in the middle of calling out “blue 17, blue 17, watch the mike, [vomit] set, hut.”
That’s exactly what Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Matt Scott did in his first preseason game.
The former Arizona Wildcat was driving the team down the field, yacked, got the play off and then threw a 12-yard touchdown to Connor Vernon.
Scott finished the game completing 7 of 11 passes for two touchdowns. He also rushed for 68 yards on six carries.
Claimed off waivers, Scott is trying to make the team as a backup. He’s currently fourth on the depth chart.
He was on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad in 2013.
