Party foul: Brooklyn’s Mason Plumlee runs into woman carrying tray full of beer

Brooklyn Nets center Mason Plumlee may be heading to the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge during the NBA’s All-Star weekend, but he didn’t have quite enough skill to avoid making a mess Saturday in the nation’s capital.
During a Nets road game against the Washington Wizards, Plumlee chased after a loose ball and ran right into a woman who was carrying at least five cups of beer — and a water or two — on a tray.
Nary an ounce of beer is left in the cups by the time the former Duke standout — who is the younger brother of Phoenix Suns center Miles Plumlee — had regained his balance.
This laugh’s on us, America.
Hopefully, the 24-year-old center will figure out a way to refund the patrons, or at least the arena, for all the unusable product. There were no dark beers among the bunch, so maybe there’s a chance the tab won’t be all that bad for Plumlee; but then again, alcohol is never cheap at a professional sporting venue.
The Wizards pounded Brooklyn in the game 114-77. The beer incident was likely the highlight of an otherwise quiet night for Plumlee, who finished with six points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes.
