Nick Foles, Super Bowl MVP and owner of the New England Patriots?

It’s been quite the February for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.

Not only did he win the Super Bowl, Super Bowl MVP and go to Disneyland, but it appeared — for a few hours at least — that Foles added another title to his resume — NFL owner.

New England Patriots fans typing in “New England Patriots owner” in Google’s search engine were met with quite a surprise Saturday when Foles’ name popped up instead of the actual owner’s, Robert Kraft.

But if you really think about it, it is somewhat warranted given Foles’ performance on the big stage.

In the biggest game of his career, Foles delivered, throwing for 373 yards and three touchdowns — with one interception — on 28-of-43 passing, including the game-winning touchdown to tight end Zach Ertz with 2:21 remaining in the game.

He did more than just throw the ball too as he became the first quarterback in Super Bowl history to throw for and catch a touchdown — winning the quarterback-receiving battle over Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the process.

To make it even more sweeter, actor Matthew McConaughey took out a full-page ad in Sunday’s American-Statesman, based in Texas, congratulating the fellow Texan.

It was only a matter of time before someone pulled a fast one on the Patriots following their 41-33 defeat in Super Bowl 52 — looking at you Eagles fans.
