A team’s confidence level in their quarterback situation can go hand-in-hand with wins and losses.

Using the “QB Confidence Index,” ESPN’s Dan Graziano broke down each team’s confidence level in their pass thrower — or lack thereof — and ranked them from best to worst, with the Cardinals plummeting all the way down to No. 32.

When looking at the Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback situation, one thing is glaringly obvious.

They need a quarterback — literally.

With Carson Palmer deciding to call it a career and quarterbacks Drew Stanton, Matt Barkley and Blaine Gabbert all set to hit free agency, the Cardinals do not have a signal-caller under contract.

Out of all the NFL teams — even with free agents aside — the Cardinals are the only team without a quarterback.

Adding insult to injury, the Cardinals don’t pick until No. 15 in the upcoming NFL Draft, putting a certain amount of uncertainty on if they could land a preferred QB prospect in the first round.

Coupled with what is largely a new coaching staff, adds more question marks to Arizona’s situation.

“Arizona will have somebody, but do you have any confidence in who it will be?” Graziano wrote.
