Arizona Cardinals fans will be happy to know that Larry Fitzgerald is taking advantage of an accidental run-in with free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins on Thursday.
Cousins posted a picture with the Cardinals wide receiver to Instagram on Friday, with a caption that will make Cardinals fans very excited.
Fitzgerald isn’t the only Cardinal to do this.
Star running back David Johnson made a case for Cousins joining the Cardinals on NFL Network in early February, as did cornerback Patrick Peterson on ESPN’s First Take when he was asked directly about Cousins.
“Why not? I believe Kirk can definitely, can get us over the top,” Peterson said. “He’ll be in warm weather, he’ll be playing on one of the best turfs in the NFL. We have some great talent around him, running game, receivers, tight end — you name it, we have everything he needs to be successful.”
Country music singer-songwriter Blake Shelton would also recruit Cousins, using his time on the Super Bowl’s pregame show for a promo for his upcoming season of “The Voice” to let him know he’d be welcome in the Valley.
“I want to say to Kirk Cousins, if he’s watching out there, we want you in Arizona,” Shelton said. “We want you to be the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.”
