Arizona State freshman guard Remy Martin was named the Pac-12 Co-Sixth Man of the Year, the conference announced Monday night.

Martin has made an impact for the Sun Devils off the bench all season, providing a much-needed spark with his quickness, flash and on-ball defense to keep Arizona State in games.

Martin currently averages 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for the Sun Devils.

One of the most notable performances from the 5-foot-11 guard came in the Sun Devils’ upset victory over then-No. 2 Kansas in December.

On the road at historic Allen Fieldhouse, Martin came off the bench and scored 21 points along with five steals to help lift Arizona State over the Jayhawks 95-85.

The Sun Devils improved them to 10-0 on the season with the win, and created the momentum Arizona State needed to start 12-0 for the first time in program history.

Martin shares the Sixth Man of the Year award with Colorado guard Dominique Collier. The two will square off on Wednesday when the Sun Devils face the Buffaloes in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
