One of the highest-rated quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL Draft will reportedly meet with the Arizona Cardinals, among other teams, in the next 10 days.
According to NFL Network’s Rich Eisen, UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen will meet with the Cardinals sometime in the next week and a half, as well as with the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and others.
Rosen has reportedly already had private workouts with the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and the New York Giants.
The 6-foot-4 junior is the third-ranked quarterback according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., and is projected to be the 10th overall pick in his latest mock draft.
Rosen had a sensational freshman season in 2015 for the Bruins, throwing for 3,670 yards and 23 touchdowns. But his production took a dip the following season, as he threw for 1,915 yards and only 10 touchdowns after a shoulder injury limited him to six games in 2016.
His production picked up in 2017, throwing for 3,756 yards and 26 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He sat out one game due to a concussion and elected not to play in the Bruins’ loss to Kansas State in the Cactus Bowl in December.
Rosen exhibited impressive arm strength and accuracy throughout his career at UCLA, warranting Kiper to call him the “most ready” quarterback in the upcoming class to start Week 1 next season.
The Cardinals signed free agent quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon earlier in March, but are still reportedly interested in drafting a quarterback. On Wednesday, members of the Cardinals front office and coaching staff attended the pro day of USC quarterback Sam Darnold.
