Majerle doesn’t think Jimmer will be a great pro

While many mock drafts say Jimmer Mania might be relocating to Phoenix this summer, Suns assistant coach Dan Majerle doesn’t sound completely sold on Fredette. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t want to get a closer look at the guard prior to the draft.
On Monday morning Majerle shared his thoughts about the BYU sensation with Sports 620 KTAR’s Doug and Wolf.
“I would love to see him workout,” he told the hosts. “I don’t know if we should draft him. I don’t think he’ll be the type of pro he was in college. But I would love to see him in a one-on-one workout or with a bunch of other players and just see what he’s got.”
The assessment is an interesting one. While many people want to anoint Jimmer as the next great white NBA point guard, Majerle doesn’t seem to think he’ll be as dynamic at the next level as others do.
