Steve Nash open to leaving Phoenix?

“Who knows what comes in the future? All options come into play.”

Those are the words of Steve Nash, according to the Vancouver Sun, when asked about the possibility of finishing his career with former coach Mike D’Antoni and the New York Knicks or with the Toronto Raptors in his native Canada.

Is Nash, who is entering the final year of his contract with the Suns, saying he wants out of Phoenix? Not exactly. He is, however, not dismissing the idea, and after acknowledging the challenge that was last season the opportunity to go to a team that is not rebuilding may be rather enticing for the 37-year-old former MVP.

Still, Nash said the Suns remain his “No. 1 priority” and that the goal is to get back to the playoffs, and with a lockout looming it is unlikely Nash will be leaving the Valley of the Sun anytime soon.
