Coyotes head to 2018 NHL Draft lottery with third-best odds

The Arizona Coyotes have the third-best odds of winning the 2018 NHL Draft Lottery on Saturday, April 28.
The NHL released the entire list of odds after the 2017-18 season concluded Sunday.
Finishing at the bottom of the league with 62 points, the Buffalo Sabres enter the lottery with an 18.5 percent chance of landing the first pick.
The Ottawa Senators, who finished the year with 67 points, have a 13.5 percent shot of landing the top pick, while the Coyotes’ 70 points earned them an 11.5 percent chance.
The lottery will include a drawing for the first, second and third overall picks.
Odds increase on a proportionate basis after the first and second picks are drawn, and the remaining 12 teams will be assigned the fourth through 15th picks in reverse order of their season point totals.
Here are the remaining odds to earn the first pick.
Montreal Canadiens: 9.5%
Detroit Red Wings: 8.5%
Vancouver Canucks: 7.5%
Chicago Blackhawks: 6.5%
New York Rangers: 6.0%
Edmonton Oilers: 5.0%
New York Islanders: 3.5%
Carolina Hurricanes: 3.0%
New York Islanders (from Calgary): 2.5%
Dallas Stars: 2.0%
St. Louis Blues^: 1.5%
Florida Panthers: 1.0%
