Aaron Brooks expects to stay in Phoenix

Although players are unable to talk contracts with their teams during the lockout, they can discuss them with the media and amongst themselves.

According to HoopsWorld, point guard Aaron Brooks thinks he will stay in Phoenix and continue to play for the Suns.

“All signs point to me going back to Phoenix,” Brooks said. “I had a good time. I like the organization and it’s a great city. I would love to continue playing in Phoenix. I would love to stay with this team. This summer, I’m going to get more comfortable with the guys. I want to get to know everyone a little bit better and then hopefully we have a better season than we did last year.”

Brooks was acquired mid-year in a trade with the Houston Rockets and played 25 games for the Suns where he averaged 9.6 points and 4.2 assists per game.

The former Oregon star is a restricted free agent, meaning any offer Brooks signs with another team could be matched by Phoenix.
