The Arizona Cardinals and first-year head coach Steve Wilks will open the season against the Washington Redskins on Sept. 9 at University of Phoenix Stadium, the NFL schedule release revealed Thursday.
Starting quarterback Sam Bradford, who signed as a free agent, will face his former team, the Minnesota Vikings, on Sunday, Oct. 14 in Week 6.
One of the most difficult road tests of the season will be in Week 13 when the Cardinals get to experience Lambeau Field in December against the Green Bay Packers. Arizona plays five of its last eight games on the road.
