NFL Draft quarterback tracker: Who’s available to the Arizona Cardinals?

5. Lamar Jackson, Louisville

Jackson has put up the numbers, and at 6-foot-3 and 211 pounds, he has the tools but is still fighting the stereotype that he’s not as far along as a pocket passer compared to the other quarterbacks atop draft boards.

6. Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State

Rudolph sniffed 5,000 passing yards in 2017 and at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, he’s in the form of a prototypical NFL pocket passer. As a senior, he threw for 37 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2017, completing 65 percent of his passes.

7. Luke Falk, Washington State

Falk struggled with consistency as a senior. He threw for nearly 1,000 fewer yards (3,593) as he did in 2015 and 2016 and tossed just 30 touchdowns to 13 interceptions while finding himself curiously benched in some games during the Pac-12 schedule.

8. Kyle Lauletta, Richmond

Showing out in his last two college seasons, the 6-foot-3, 215 pound quarterback has the intangibles as a leader and the ability to play mistake free football that shows in his 52 touchdowns to 20 picks over his junior and senior seasons.

9. Mike White, Western Kentucky

12. Logan Woodside, Toledo

Woodside is undersized at 6-foot-1 and 213 pounds and did not have the best experience at Toledo. He lost his starting job in 2015 despite winning a bowl game the year prior. He redshirted that season before starting again in 2016 and earning first-team All-MAC honors, leading the nation in touchdown passes with 45. Rumors were flying before the 2018 NFL Draft. Why? Because of a crop of quarterbacks, several of whom could be options to go in the top 15 picks and a half-dozen overall who could make for first-round picks.

Considering the Arizona Cardinals would like to draft and develop a signal-caller to grow behind starter Sam Bradford and backup Mike Glennon, the domino effect of the top five picks and beyond will impact general manager Steve Keim.

So, we’re keeping track of all the quarterbacks selected before Arizona picks.

Above is a running list of the best signal-callers who remain on the board, as ranked by ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.

Below, we will list the quarterbacks so far selected in the draft and by whom.

Would the Cardinals want them to fall to their pick?

Arizona owns the No. 15 selection and has been reportedly making calls to move up in the draft. The Cardinals also could consider moving down in the draft if too many quarterbacks — and the ones they like — aren’t on the board midway through the first round on Thursday.

If they stand pat, it’s also entirely possible they punt on taking a quarterback and fill another need: Central Florida cornerback Mike Hughes, Maryland wide receiver D.J. Moore, Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, Florida State safety Derwin James and Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith are all potential fits who 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro believes could be targeted by Keim.
