Watch Jarrod Dyson rob an Astros HR in miraculous fashion

There wasn’t much to enjoy about the Arizona Diamondbacks’ series opener against the Houston Astros through four innings on Friday, but the D-backs’ Jarrod Dyson made one of the plays of the season.

Starter Kris Medlen, who was recently signed from Triple-A Reno, gave up seven runs in the first four innings.

Left-handed relief pitcher T.J. McFarland would replace him and immediately needed assistance.

Houston center fielder Jake Marisnick took a McFarland two-seam fastball to deep right field.

In right field, Dyson did a terrific job of not only tracking the ball down but timing his inevitable jump and attempt at robbing what could be a home run.

Dyson never broke eye contact with the ball until he had to, seeing the ball was going to land behind him.

In a miraculous play, Dyson extended his left arm well over his head to make the catch with his body facing the right field foul pole.

Dyson made the play look rather easy in one motion given it will be one of the best defensive plays of this season.
