Ask his teammates: A.J. Pollock is the D-backs’ know-it-all

We all know that one individual.

An argument breaks out, and no matter what is said by the other party, that person believes they are right.

No. Matter. What.

As it turns out, the Arizona Diamondbacks have one of those in their clubhouse.

Center fielder A.J. Pollock is “that guy.”

FOX Sports Arizona spoke with a good number of his teammates, who all backed up that notion.

With a smile on his face, star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt said, “he thinks he is (right) for sure and again that leaves yourself to be challenged a lot.”

In a very quality fireback by third baseman Jake Lamb that surely came up during one of those arguments, he asked Pollock when was the last time he was wrong.

According to Pollock, it was the summer of 2007 when he got into an argument with a summer ball teammate. But Pollock said he has not been wrong since then.

The key to avoiding arguments with Pollock: staying away from the topics of Notre Dame and the New England Patriots.

As Lamb and others know, though, everyone cares for Pollock at the end of the day, despite the bold stances.

“That’s A.J., man” Lamb said. “That’s our guy.”
