Nash to Orlando? Magic would have interest

Jan 20, 2012, 10:24 PM | Updated: 10:52 pm

Steve Nash has expressed his desire to stay in Phoenix, but
the trade rumors won’t stop until the March 15 deadline
passes or he’s moved before then.

According to CBS NBA insider Ken Berger,, the Orlando
Magic will have an interest in the point guard if the Suns
decide to trade him.

Nash “could push the Magic back to the NBA Finals at a time
when the Celtics are faltering and the Heat are showing
signs of wear and tear,” Berger wrote.

The Magic are 10-4 and star Dwight Howard has expressed a
desire to be traded to a contending team, and the thought is
that adding Nash would soften the center’s stance on playing
somewhere else.

But, as Suns
President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby
maintains,
Nash “can stay as long as he wants.”
