Archie Bradley, D-backs teammates display new hairstyles in Oakland

Don’t worry, Diamondbacks fans – Archie Bradley still has the beard.
It’s just the top of his head that’s shaved.
Call it superstition. Call it a fresh look.
Just don’t say the Diamondbacks are desperate – not yet, at least.
“Not desperate. We’re getting close to desperate, we’re in the extreme part of times.” Bradley said in a Fox Sports Arizona video on Friday.
Bradley, second baseman Ketel Marte and outfielder David Peralta all changed their hairstyles in the midst of losing 13 of their last 14 games.
“Marte lost the dreads, Peralta lost the long hair, I lost the flow on top as well,” Bradley said. “Kind of a group effort to get us back on track.”
It’s not the whole group, though.
“We have a few teammates that we had to put on the no-haircut list because their countdown for their final haircut is on,” Bradley said.
The “final haircut” – his way of mocking those whose hair may be thinning out a little – includes manager Torey Lovullo, pitcher T.J. McFarland and bullpen coach Humberto Quintero.
Bradley may have to resize his hat to fit his hairless head. However, if the D-backs’ 7-1 win over the Oakland Athletics on Friday was any measure, the haircuts are working.
Luckily for the team, Bradley doesn’t mind being at the barbershop.
“We’ve got a good positive attitude, maybe a fresh look, fresh feel,” he said. “Change things up a little bit.”
