The Arizona Cardinals need to add another name to the secondary, specifically a safety.
Still looking at their options to do so, the Cardinals met with former Los Angeles Chargers safety Tre Boston on Wednesday and Thursday, according to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.
A fourth-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft by Carolina, Boston spent three years with the Panthers before playing for the Chargers.
The 25-year-old started 15 games in 2017, recording 56 tackles, five interceptions and eight passes defensed.
With the loss of Tyrann Mathieu, the Cardinals now only have safeties Budda Baker, Antoine Bethea and Rudy Ford on the roster with NFL experience.
According to NFL.com, Boston also met with the Indianapolis Colts in mid-May.
