D-backs to hold Ketel Marte Luchador Bobblehead night at Chase Field

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Friday they would be hosting a Ketel Marte Luchador Bobblehead promotional night at Chase Field on September 8.
The giveaway coincides with the club celebrating Hispanic Heritage Day, with other details regarding festivities for the day to be announced at a later time.
Draped in a red and teal luchador-style cape, the bobblehead features the D-backs shortstop in a black and red “Los D-backs” uniform — which the team will wear on September 8 — with white pants.
Marte’s cleats were exchanged for teal wrestling boots, while his ballcap was replaced by a black, red and teal luchador wrestling mask.
A native of the Dominican Republic, Marte is commonly referred to by his nickname, “Pike.” The name is a Dominican reference to someone who has “swagger,” according to the D-backs.
The Marte bobblehead is the latest in a slew of promotional nights the D-backs announced for the 2018 season.
Along with special uniforms already worn for Jackie Robinson Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July, the D-backs previously gave away a Paul “Solo” bobblehead along with Father’s Day Hawaiian shirts.
Fans can snag their own Ketel Marte Luchador Bobblehead when the D-backs take on the Atlanta Braves.
