Suns’ Deandre Ayton named to All-NBA Summer League Second Team

Phoenix Suns center and No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton was named to the league’s All-NBA Summer League Second Team on Tuesday.
Ayton averaged 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and one block a game in his four outings in Las Vegas.
Despite the lack of a dominant performance, Ayton’s consistency in producing showed. He had at least 10 points and eight rebounds in all four games. The high point of his run would come in a 21-point and 12-rebound night against second overall pick Marvin Bagley III and the Sacramento Kings.
The MVP of the Summer League was Los Angeles Lakers guard Josh Hart, marking the second year in a row a Laker has won the award after Lonzo Ball was named the MVP last year.
Joining Hart on the first team is Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton, Knicks forward Kevin Knox, Bucks big Christian Wood and Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr.
The second team includes Ayton, Trail Blazers guard Wade Baldwin IV, Lakers guard Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Hawks guard Trae Young and Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr.
