The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly looking at adding another body to the defense.
Free agent linebacker Gerald Hodges is in Arizona for a workout with the team Tuesday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The 27-year-old has played six seasons in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints.
He played in 11 games in 2017, making three tackles.
Hodges’ best year came while he was in the NFC West.
With the 49ers, Hodges made 83 tackles, 3.0 sacks and two interceptions in 15 games (12 starts). He also forced a fumble and knocked down two balls.
Hodges is the latest defensive player to be linked to the Cardinals.
The team signed linebacker Arthur Moats and defensive end Jacquies Smith to one-year deals last week.
Safety Mike Mitchell, who played under head coach Steve Wilks in 2013, visited the Cardinals last Wednesday.
