Running back D.J. Foster injured his knee during kickoff coverage and will not return, the Arizona Cardinals announced.
Foster remained down after the kickoff before limping to the cart and being driven off the field.
He had been displaying his versaility this preseason, recording multiple receptions and rushes in both of the first two games.
Against the Chargers, he had three receptions, tied for a team high, and 11 total yards of offense.
Last week against the Saints, he had a pair of catches for 14 yards and three rushes for three yards.
With Foster out, running backs T.J. Logan and Sherman Badie will likely receive extra time behind David Johnson and Chase Edmonds.
