A post on the TSN official Instagram page showed an Arizona Coyotes uniform boasting the Phoenix Suns’ iconic purple and orange colorway.
The overwhelming sense of comradery between Arizona’s four major sports teams in the Cardinals, Suns, Coyotes and Diamondbacks is evident to those paying attention. Between themed nights at stadiums, social media interactions and the support of athletes across the four sports, Arizona has built a culture that’s specifically unique to the state’s sports organizations.
Because of this, the concept of a Suns-themed uniform isn’t totally outlandish for the Coyotes. With a sleek look and unique design, these uniforms could help to unite the two franchises even further.

BarDown’s concept jersey features a purple uniform with orange trimming on the collar, forearm and sides. Highlighted by orange gloves and striped pants, this uniform combines the Coyotes’ classic look with a fresh set of colors to commemorate one of Arizona’s most successful franchises. One notable change is the color of the logo. The Coyote’s shade changed from the team’s classic brick red and desert sand combination to the Suns’ quintessential purple and orange.
By connecting the two groups of fans, both organizations can spread awareness within the community. The Diamondbacks and Coyotes had a similar crossover event in February when the Coyotes sported a black D-backs warm-up jersey ahead of a home game against the Anaheim Ducks. Not only would these uniforms unite two passionate fan bases, but they’d create more awareness throughout the state.
Are tonight's #DbacksNight jerseys the sharpest ones yet? I think so too. Bid now to benefit @YotesFoundation! https://t.co/ijyRDunRt5 #Yotes pic.twitter.com/AU5c9ACLGe

The Instagram post was created by BarDown, a TSN-affiliated site that focuses on sports and popular culture from a unique perspective. Only 10 teams were featured on the post including the Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs and the defending champion Washington Capitals.
With their respective seasons approaching, the Coyotes and Suns will both look to improve with heaps of young talent and new additions to their rosters.
